The Virginia Employment Lawyers Association (“VELA”) is the Virginia affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association
The Virginia Employment Lawyers Association (“VELA”) is a voluntary association of employment attorneys who represent employees in Virginia. It is the Virginia affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association. VELA’s objectives are to promote the interests of employees and former employees and to assist the attorneys who represent them and to provide a forum, a network of communication and collegial support among employment attorneys engaged in advancing the rights of employees, to enable them to serve their clients better. Like NELA, VELA aspires to a future in which all workers are treated with dignity and respect; workplaces are equitable, diverse, and inclusive; and the well-being of workers is a priority in business practices
